12 Dec Coffs Harbour Travel Lift & Government Marina
SMC provided design and construciton of a new boat maintenance facility and government marina in Coffs Harbour under a GC21 contract. The work was completed March 2022 and the construction scope included:
- Dredging 350 cubic metres of marina sediment including sediment classification, dewatering and disposal
- Pile installation for the travel lift, marina and holding pontoon
- Travel lift beams of in-situ concrete and alumimium walkway / handrails
- Installation of 9-berth marina using the Bellingham pontoon system
- Installation of 2 gangways
- Additional pontoon and gangway for boat maintenance facility
- Hardstand construction rated for heavy loads
- Installation of all associated services: electrical, water, fire, stormwater and a trade waste system
