12 Dec Port Coogee Marina Expansion
SMC Marine completed the Port Coogee Marina Expansion in September 2022. SMC’s scope included:
- Detailed design and construction of a 69 berth marina expansion with concrete pontoons, HDPE sleeved steel piles and associated hydraulic and electrical services
- Construction of a steel framed, FRP joist and timber-decked boardwalk with two gatehouses and associated services installation
- Supply and construction included:
- 74 steel plies with HDPE sleeves
- Highly finished jarrah boardwalk with bollard lighting, bench seats
- Decorative pattern, exposed aggregate precast concrete deck panels for the loading platform
- Marina lighting
- Fire alarm and warning system
- Automated access controls
- Gatehouses with solar panels, bin enclosures, bike racks and automated access controls
