As a result SMC was able to recycle 6400 tonnes of high grade timber for architectural use, 2200 tonnes of lower grade timber for wood chips, soil and firewood, 1300 tonnes of concrete for road base, and 30 tonnes of scrap metal, with only 20 tonnes of materials going to landfill.
