SMC provided design and construction of a new boat maintenance facility and government marina in Coffs Harbour under a GC21 contract.

01. Role

The work was completed March 2022 and the construction scope included:

  1. Dredging 350 cubic metres of marina sediment including sediment classification, dewatering and disposal
  2. Pile installation for the travel lift, marina and holding pontoon
  3. Travel lift beams of in-situ concrete and alumimium walkway / handrails
  4. Installation of 9-berth marina using the Bellingham pontoon system
  5. Installation of 2 gangways
  6. Additional pontoon and gangway for boat maintenance facility
  7. Hardstand construction rated for heavy loads
  8. Installation of all the different associated services: electrical, water, fire, stormwater and a trade waste system
