01. Project Details

The facility comprises of 12 berths for vessels up to 200T displacement and a ferry wharf. The project was delivered within a 16-week site window including the demolition of the existing structure.

02. Role

  1. Structural design of the new structure included the use of aluminium for the jetty substructure, a first for a facility of this type
  2. Coordination of architectural design. An architect was engaged at SMC’s request due to the high profile of the site
  3. Demolition of the existing facility including recycling of all structural timber
  4. Modular construction of the new jetty including 34m piles installed in single lengths
