  • Mandorah Marine Facility (NT)
    SMC’s alternative design reduced armour rock volume by ~55% and dredge material by 30%, significantly lowering environmental impact and cost. The project was awarded based on the strength of our design innovation and whole-of-life thinking.
  • Torres Strait Jetties (Dauan, Saibai & Boigu Islands)
    Our prefabricated aluminium jetty modules offered a risk-brokered solution tailored to remote island logistics. The 100-year design was praised for solving tolerance issues, minimising site labour and mitigating impact on the local community and environment.
  • Pioneer River Pontoon (Mackay)
    SMC’s alternative design eliminated four piles, a concrete platform, and two gangways—replacing them with a single 40m-long gangway, simplifying construction and reducing cost.
